The journey back home

(in continuation of the East Coast Diaries)

After GangaikondaCholapuram, we started retracing our route back home. The whirlwind tour of 5 days had finally come to an end. We also visited all the Navagraha Sthalas taking all most 3 days to finish the all 9 holy places. The journey back home was really good. The really well maintained National Highways and the State Highways did not take much toll on the body. In this leg of the journey we traversed almost the entire fertile plains of river Kaveri. We stopped by the Grand Anaicut built across River Kaveri, the river was in full flow. This river is the lifeline for the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The final journey across the forests of Chamrajnagar along NH209 was worth the ride. We could spot few elephants along the NH. The ride was smooth, thanks to a newly built stretch along the border of karnataka which has been recently improved.

That sums up our entire East coast Journey. The ride was momentous not only because the journey was long but also we covered such a lot of fascinating places of our beautiful country, INDIA.

Until my next blog, signing off
